Getting started with Endurance Sports is easy. It’s easy to make gains right off the bat, even with a sporadic training program (or, none at all!). But sooner or later (and usually sooner), the gains begin to level off, or you may even find yourself getting slower. Frustrated, you increase your mileage, or add another workout. More is better, right? Soon you find yourself side-lined with an injury, watching the race you were supposed to be competing in. And that’s if you’re lucky and were able to avoid the chronic fatigue and hormonal derangement that comes from being over-trained, which is the state that 99.9% endurance athletes are in.
You keep training and training and training and training……Isn’t it time you actually got better?
