Someone requested last week something without chicken and I thought, yeah I am on a bit of a chicken kick. Then looking back, yeah a huge chicken kick! So my next couple should be anything BUT chicken at least for awhile. This recipe has got some zing to it, and I was a bit skeptical. But the more I ate the more I like it, hope you do too. Sorry, but I had no idea how to make it look pretty for the picture, but it tasted better than it looked!
2lbs Country style ribs with the bone
1 large pear sliced
1-2 medium apples sliced (tart like granny smith or your favorite)
1 bag/jar of sauerkraut
1/4 Cup Dry white wine
1-2 Tablespoon molasses
1 Tablespoon pure maple syrup
1/4 cup spiced cider
Salt and pepper to taste
Salt and pepper ribs to your liking. Then layer the ribs with apples and pears. Then top with sauerkraut, drizzle with molasses and maple syrup. Then add your wine and spiced cider. Cover and cook on low for 7-8. Meat will literally fall off the bone with wonder when its done. Serve up and enjoy!
Ribs. . . .yummmmmyyyyyyy. Thanks for the break from chicken! Much appreciated!
Oh, cover and cook on low for 7 -8 ??? Hours? Is this for the crockpot?
